Get Vaccinated

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a group of viruses. Some of these viruses may increase the risk of developing cancer. The HPV vaccine protects against certain types of HPV. The HPV vaccine is currently offered free for girls in grade four or grades nine to twelve. Talk to your health care provider to see if HPV vaccination is a good option for you or your child.

Hepatitis B virus (HB) infects the liver and can cause liver cancer. The HB vaccine is effective in preventing liver cancer. The vaccine is offered in the NWT. It is recommended that children receive HBV vaccination.
